The first step is to fill in the Contact Form to let me know if you would like me to call you or send you an email me or if you would like to arrange a meeting. Our first meeting will be professional but at the same time it will be fun. 

My aim is to make sure that working as a team we can create the ceremony that is uniquely yours. . 

We can discuss all the plans for your wedding ceremony and all the legal aspects will be professionally covered. Before we meet, I will ask you to check you have thought about these legal requirements and have the following documentation: 

• Bride and Groom over 18 years of age. 
• Original Birth Certificates and Drivers Licences. 
• Decree Absolute if Bride or Groom is divorced. 
• Death Certificate if Bride or Groom is widow or widower. 
• Current passport or formal identification if from overseas. 
• Notice of Intended Marriage Form 13. created at our meeting. 
• Two witnesses, over 18 years will be required on the wedding day. 
• Payment of your registration fee ensures the date and time are confirmed in the calendar.

This package is for the ceremony of your dreams. I will provide a PA with wireless microphone you supply the music of your choice - unlimited amount of guests. 

We will start the planning with our first meeting – coffee or beer/wine on me!

At our meeting we will talk about how you would like your ceremony to look and who and what might be included. I will ask you lots of questions about how you met, what you love about each other, what the proposal looked like. All the good stuff.

My ceremonies are written from scratch, personally designed for each couple. I will ask you to complete a “couple’s questionnaire” which I then use to write my introduction and to create a story during the ceremony. 

I can help you with writing your own vows or I can write something simple for you incorporating the legal wording that’s required.

I am happy to print out your vows onto some beautiful cards I have, or we can do the “repeat after me” technique.

We can have a rehearsal if you are feeling nervous or have a large bridal party to organise. 

(cost of rehearsal is included in my fees)

While you are partying at your ceremony I will lodge all the necessary paper work inclusive of the  official marriage certificate with Births, Deaths and Marriages. 

# Cost of the Offical Wedding Certificate from the BDM of Qld is not included in this package.

Big elaborate weddings are not for everyone, and that’s ok.

Perhaps you would like the legal side of things completed in Australia before you head overseas for a big ceremony with all your loved ones. 

Perhaps you have been together for many many years and thought it was about time you made it legal, but without all the fuss.

Whatever your reason, a “Legals Only ceremony” is the quick and fuss free alternative.

As with all marriages, you will need to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage with me a minimum of one full calendar month before the ceremony. 

You can have your ceremony at your home, in a park, or over a coffee. I will read a simple ceremony with just the legal bits, we sign a few pieces of paper, and you’re married!

You will still need to have 2 witnesses over the age of 18. Let me know if you need help with this, as I always have a friend or two willing to help out – after all, who doesn’t love a wedding!

The day after your ceremony I will lodge all the necessary paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages. Please note the Offical Wedding Certificate from the BDM of Qld is not included in this package. Current cost is $54.40 for a standard certificate

A commitment ceremony is a celebration of the love between two people with a public affirmation of their commitment to each other.

A commitment ceremony is conducted for various reasons like one party who is unable to seek a divorce or the couple do not want to be “legally bound” but wish to publicly display their commitment to each other.

Unlike a wedding ceremony a commitment ceremony does not include “Legal Document’s” or period of notice therefore can be conducted in a relatively short space of time. There are no hard rules to adhere to formal or casual it is all up the couple to decide what suits them best.

A renewal of vows is a truly wonderful way to celebrate two peoples ongoing commitment and love for each other whether it be 5, 10 or 25 years together what better than to have a celebration that you have made it this far and want to continue your life journey together.

You may want to reaffirm your vows in front of your family and loved ones for many reasons maybe you did not have the funds for a celebration first time around or something significant has occurred in your lives that you want to renew the love and commitment again.
